We all need a little pampering from time to time – and our spas are no different. After opening in June 2014, Aqua Sana Woburn Forest has had a makeover, just in time for spring and summer.
As well as a fresh lick of paint in the spa, we’ve completely revamped some of our relaxation spaces and a few of the 25 experience rooms. Don’t forget, you needn’t book a Center Parcs break to explore the beauty of Aqua Sana – you can visit as a day guest or book the ultimate luxury, a spa break.
Here are all the details of the makeover, according to Roxane Keightley, Aqua Sana Marketing Manager…
Salt Relaxation Lounge
“We wanted to make this space even more relaxing,” says Roxane. “The beds are raised so you can see out into the forest and Zen Garden, connecting you with the tranquillity of the forest.” Roxane suggests spending around 10 peaceful minutes in this lounge after making your way through the Salt Spa.
Herbal Relaxation Lounge
After you’ve explored the Herbal Spa, including its Inhalation Baths and Sauna, filled with the soothing scents of rosemary and lavender, you can sink into a seat in the Herbal Relaxation Lounge. “They’re bigger than you think,” says Roxane, “They’re wide enough that you can lie down and completely relax.”
Fire and Ice Relaxation Lounge
From the Lava Volcano Sauna to the Snow and Ice Room, the Fire and Ice Spa uses extremes of temperature, so this lounge is a great space to rest and rebalance afterwards. “Climb into a chair and curl up,” says Roxane, “You can bring and book and enjoy some alone time to gather your thoughts and just enjoy the tranquillity.”
Discovery Session Area
There are free sessions throughout the day at Aqua Sana, ranging from product demonstrations to makeup tutorials, where you can gather as our therapists share their expert knowledge. There’s new seating here now, so up to 16 people can take part, often with hands-on product trials and mini treatments. “It’s a great opportunity to try out new products and get tailored advice from the expert team,” says Roxane.
Ice Room Experience
Part of the Fire and Ice Spa, this room has had a complete makeover to give it a cool new look. Complete with ice walls and ice fountain, Roxane recommends braving this room after a visit to the Lava Volcano Sauna. “Rub the ice into your skin to close the pores and rejuvenate,” says Roxane.
“This is the only space in the spa where we recommend total silence,” says Roxane. With six glorious waterbeds, you can lounge in peace with views overlooking the forest. Close your eyes and drift off into a world of serenity.”
