Bella Italia is one of our favourite spots for a bite to eat at lunch, or a leisurely dinner after a long day of Center Parcs activities. The relaxed atmosphere, authentic food and warm staff will leave you feeling as though you just wandered into a family-run trattoria down a side street in Sorrento.

It’s currently available at Whinfell Forest and Elveden Forest, and we’re very excited to announce that it will soon be available at Sherwood Forest and Longleat Forest too.

The new menu launches today. Warning: if you haven’t had lunch yet, get ready for some real pizza/pasta/gelato cravings…

It’s all in the dough

The biggest change Bella Italia have made is to their pizzas, which are now industry leaders with a hand-stretched, part sourdough mixture that results in a thinner, crisper, more authentic pizza. They’ve extensively taste tested (our favourite kind of test) the new recipe and a huge 95% of customers preferred the new dough. They’ve also introduced the Roma range, which are stretched even thinner and topped with the most luxurious ingredients. We recommend the Luganica Rosmarino, with Luganica sausage, salami, roasted red onions, mozzarella, pecorino and rosemary.

Start as you mean to go on

They’ve streamlined their sharing boards to bring you one, definite and delicious antipasti board that is inspired by all the best tastes of Italy. And their olives now come directly from Italy, so they’re ripened by that glorious Mediterranean sunshine.

Stepping up the pasta game

The improved carbonara is creamier than ever, with a new sauce recipe that clings to the pasta like silk, and topped with crispy slices of pancetta. Their lasagne is made fresh daily, the proper Italian way. And for the first time, Bella Italia are offering spiralised vegetable ‘spaghetti’ in place of pasta with some of their classic sauces.

The main event

On the Italian Classics and Grill menus, there are new dishes popping up too. The Pollo Funghi is a grilled chicken breast in a mushroom and mascarpone sauce, served with roasted potatoes and green beans. Or if you have a hankering for a good steak, you can now go for the standout 10oz rib eye – perfectly marbled and cooked just the way you like it.

A sweet good bye

One of our favourite features of the Bella Italia menu is their ‘shot glass desserts’. These miniature pots of sweetness are perfect for when you can’t quite manage a full-sized dessert. Or more likely in our case, when you just want to try three… They’ve added two new incredible flavours – Limoncello tart and salted caramel chocolate. Which one will you be ordering?
