NEW: Off Road Explorers

Our newest Sherwood Forest activity puts your little ones behind the wheel of a pint-sized off-roader. Yes, it’s exactly as adorable as it sounds…

This spring, we’re offering little ones at Sherwood Forest the chance to get in the driving seat with their very own off-road experience.

Where? At Sherwood Forest from Thursday 28 April, 2016. It will also be coming to Woburn Forest and Longleat Forest in 2017.

Who? Our dinky driving seats fit one 3-6 year old, with a parent watching (and cheerleading) from nearby.

Appearance: A miniature forest-green, open-topped 4×4 and tiny explorer’s hat (all together now: ‘Aaaawww!’)

What’s involved? With mum or dad cheering from the sidelines, little ones hop into the driving seat and are shown how to safely steer and operate their very own miniature off-roader. Then they’ll navigate our course, tackling obstacles like rumble strips and bumpy ground, collecting puzzle pieces along the way to solve a jigsaw in the back of their car.

Where do I sign up? If you have a break at Sherwood Forest coming up, you can book Off Road Explorers now. You’ll find it under Children’s Activities 2-7 years, and Mini Adventures Together.

Do say: Let’s hit the track

Don’t say: How fast does this baby go nought-to-sixty?

Any chance you could offer a similar driving experience for older kids?

Hi Richard, thanks for your comment. We do have Junior Quads for ages 6-11 years. This is available to book at Whinfell Forest, Sherwood Forest, Elveden Forest and Longleat Forest.
