Center Parcs’ Woburn Forest team sprinkled some Christmas spirit onto Marston Vale’s Christmas Event on Friday, December 6. To recognise and celebrate the work that the Forest of Marston Vale do and help them to continue with their very worthy mission, we sponsored three large trees and a medium tree for the event, where members of the newly formed Woburn Forest team attended to help decorate them.
The Forest of Marston Vale is a charity that uses woodlands and trees to repair damaged landscape in Bedford and Milton Keynes, near to the site of Woburn Forest. Center Parcs has been a supportive neighbour to the Forest of Marston Vale since even before Woburn Forest started being built, through various initiatives such as the funding of tree planting in the area, use of the Forest Centre facilities and, more recently, through the sponsorship of trees at the Christmas Tree Festival.
Sam Hayden, events co-ordinator at Marston Vale, says: “The Forest Centre really appreciates the generosity of sponsors such as Center Parcs. By sponsoring four Christmas trees they were directly helping the creation of the Forest of Marston, as well as supporting a community event, widely attended by local families. Center Parcs’ largest tree was donated to St Mary’s Church in Marston, with others being donated to local schools and charities after the festival weekend, which was attended by 3,000 people.”
