Did you know that 7 out of 10 people own a smartphone? Furthermore, in a recent Econsultancy survey, it was revealed that 83 per cent of adults use the internet daily while 77 per cent of those surveyed have previously made an online purchase.
So it’s little wonder that here at Center Parcs, we’re keeping pace with the industry: from today, you can download the Woburn Forest mobile App from both the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android devices.
The App will enhance the experience for guests at our new Village and is full of exciting and useful features, including a Village map, easy-view itinerary and a memories section, where you can upload and edit photos before sharing them with your social networks.
Key features include:
- An interactive Village map
- Memories: enhance and share your short break highlights
- View reviews and photos of activities and restaurants
- Link your booking with the App to have an itinerary in your pocket and to be able to make additional bookings
- Notifications and reminders
- View restaurant information, see menus and make reservations.
Elena Ragone Marriott, Head of Digital and Media says: “We know that guests, particularly those who haven’t visited Center Parcs before, can struggle to find their way around our Villages and saw the opening of Woburn Forest as an opportunity to solve this problem. We also wanted to give our guests the ability to make the most of their stay by putting their itinerary in the palm of their hand, as well as being able to easily enhance and share their memories.
“We are committed to constantly improving guests’ experience during their Center Parcs breaks”
“We are all living in an age where you cannot get away from technology and our guests are more tech-savvy than ever before. I do believe there is a certain expectation that brands keep pace with this, but more importantly we are committed to constantly improving our guests’ experience during their Center Parcs breaks – I’m confident the mobile App will do this.”
Woburn Forest will be the first Village to launch the App, with the remaining four to come online after. But Elena adds that there’s likely to be more updates in the future: “The most challenging part has been finalising the scope of what would be included in this app; there were so many great ideas but we just couldn’t include them all. However, this does mean it’s very likely there will be future exciting additions – so watch this space!”
