Zip Wire extension takes off at Elveden Forest

The much-anticipated extension of the Zip Wire at Elveden Forest is now open

The work, which has increased the length of the wire to an impressive 270 metres, means the Zip Wire is now the longest of all the Center Parcs Villages and is sure to whet the appetite of all the adrenaline junkies enjoying a short break.

Guests experiencing the activity will get fantastic views from the top of the platform, before descending at speeds over the lake below.

The extension of the Zip Wire is just one of the upgrades made to the ever-popular Aerial Adventure course at Elveden Forest, with five new elements being incorporated including a net berma, skipping ropes, mini zip, weave and hanging logs, culminating in the 270-metre zip finale across the magnificent lake.

Wired facts

  • The ‘breaking strength’ of the Zip Wire is 10 tonnes – that’s the same weight as five hippos or two African Elephants
  • The length of the wire is the equivalent of two and a half Wembley football pitches
  • You can see the iconic Elveden Monument from the top of the Zip Wire platform

The all-new Aerial Adventure course at Elveden Forest is now available to book.
