Are you spending Halloween at Center Parcs this year, or prepping for your ghoulishly good break next October? Check out our selection of Halloween activities running up until 30th October 2022, sure to get you ready and in the mood for spooky season. We spoke to our wildlife expert at Center Parcs for tips on how to dispose of your pumpkin and help your local wildlife at the same time! There will never be a dull moment on your break with all these things to do at Center Parcs at Halloween.
Halloween Pumpkin Carving Workshop
Halloween isn’t the same without a spooky pumpkin carving flickering on your doorstep. Check out our Halloween Pumpkin Carving Workshop available at all our villages. This 45-minute activity will let your imagination and your little ones run wild as you turn your pumpkin into a spooky face or a haunting scene. You can take your pumpkins home with you to put on your doorstep ready for Halloween night.
Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
Who knows what might be lurking in the woods this Halloween, so don't stray too far from the path as you follow the clues to hunt out the pumpkins. Halloween Pumpkin Hunt is a fun and interactive activity to get you searching the forest for Halloween clues, available at all our villages. An activity full of spooky fun for little devils and their captive adults, suitable for ages 18 months to 5 years.
Grand Halloween Party (available at Sherwood Forest and Woburn Forest on the 29 and 31 October 2022)
Get your best Halloween costume on and head down to the Grand Halloween Party for an evening of spectacular fun for the whole family where you’ll be greeted by our fantastic, friendly witches and wizards. Children will have their own entertainer and the delicious buffet will be a hit with all the family. Then it’s time to discover your most dastardly dance moves as you take to the floor for our Halloween-themed disco – there will also be prizes for most original Halloween costumes!
Halloween Spooky Science
See your little one become a mini Dr Frankenstein this Halloween in our spooky science laboratory. Try your hand at a range of eerie experiments and petrifying potions, designed to captivate little imaginations and introduce little ones to the weird and wonderful world of science – with a spooky twist! Halloween Spooky Science is available at all villages and suitable for little ones ages 3 to 9 years old.
Halloween at Center Parcs and at home
Whether you are at Center Parcs during Halloween or spending it at home, you can get in the spooky season wherever you are. Create some DIY Halloween decorations, print off your favourite ghoulish images of some ghosts, spiders and witches and stick them around your house, or lodge! If you can’t make it to our Grand Halloween Party create your own at home, get the whole family dressed up and put on your favourite frightening soundtrack and dance the night away to the Time Warp!
We spoke to our wildlife expert here at Center Parcs for some of his top tips for disposing of your pumpkin after Halloween. If you are spending Halloween at Center Parcs, please dispose of your pumpkin properly, dont display your pumpkin outside but we still love seeing all your creations from your lodge windows - prop them up on the windowsill for guests and colleagues walking by to admire. There are many ways you can reuse/purpose your pumpkin after Halloween, the first being using it for cooking, whether you roast it or make a soup - pumpkin is the perfect seasonal treat! You can also cut it up and leave it out for wildlife or put it in the compost. Check with your local animal shelters as they may use then for feed for the animals.
