Here at Center Parcs, Saint Patrick’s Day is one of our favourite days of the year. The village turns into a sea of green as guests don their green tops and jumpers (and even the odd suit!) to join in the Irish fun. Here’s what went on in this year’s celebrations!
Thursday 16th March
After the success of last year’s celebrations at Center Parcs Longford Forest, we were delighted to be welcoming back the excitement of our Village Parade. On Thursday 16th March, guests enjoyed a free parade around the lake and beachfront with street entertainers, dancers and energetic Irish drummers.
The parade began from the lakeside entrance into Village Square (close to The Coffee House), continued down by the lake and finished at the Pancake House with a showstopping performance. Little ones and grown-ups alike lined the paths, dancing and clapping along, with plenty of smiles all around!
Following the parade, many guests chose to stop by at Sports Café for that all-important pint of Guinness - the quintessential way to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day – and some continued the family fun with a game of Ten Pin Bowling or a round of Pool.
Friday 17th March (St Patrick’s Day)
Guests who arrived at Longford Forest on St. Patrick’s Day enjoyed a great atmosphere in Sports Café, with a live band taking to the stage on Friday evening. The celebrations continued into the evening, with pints of Guinness flowing and guests of all ages dancing together.
Others made their way back to their lodge for a cosy night in, stocking up with sweets from Treats and fire logs from ParcMarket to round off St Patrick’s Day with family games and TV.
Saturday 18th March
The celebrations didn’t stop after St Patrick’s Day, with roaming street performers entertaining guests in the Village Square!
