Discover The Wishlight Village lit up with glowing lanterns, pixies roaming the paths and an enchanting atmosphere to chase away the winter blues – this is Winter Forest Lights at Center Parcs.

If you’ve booked a magical Winter Forest Lights break in January or February, check out our top five exclusive activities – and be sure to book your places in advance so you don’t miss out!

 

1.       Family Wishlight Quest

Brand-new for 2023 is the Family Wishlight Quest, an immersive and exploratory experience that the whole family can do together.

Exclusive to Whinfell and Woburn Forest, the Family Wishlight Quest gets you working together to solve challenges, find clues and crack codes in different enchanting zones. At the end of the experience, you will be able to meet our pixies, get into character and create a magical family photo memory to take home.

• Located in the Lodge of Light at The Wishlight Village
• Suitable for all ages
• Each group will receive a free souvenir photograph
• Available at Whinfell and Woburn Forest

 

2.       Pixie and Fairy Academy

This magical adventure is a 3-hour non-parent accompanied session, meaning the grown-ups can go and enjoy some peace and quiet whilst the little ones let their imaginations run wild! Psst, a visit to Aqua Sana Spa would be the perfect adult treat whilst little ones get stuck in to this activity.

Little ones will step into a wintery world of make-believe in this enchanting activity. They’ll get to try their hand at various pixie crafts, including making their very own forest headbands, dream catchers and wish pebbles, along with playing exciting pixie games.

3.       Winter Lantern Workshop

Add the Winter Lantern Workshop to your itinerary and join our forest pixies as they give you the best tips and tricks for designing your very own wishlight winter lantern.

Children will be provided with a glass lantern that they can then use stencils, stickers, sparkles and light to decorate - the grown-ups can also help and put their stamp on too (if they’ll let you!). Afterwards, everyone will sit down with our pixie and listen to an enchanting winter story before heading back out into the forest ready to watch their lanterns shine bright.

4.       Pixie and Fairy Cookie Decorating

What better activity to do with your child on a chilly winter day than decorating cookies together? During this special activity, you will help our pixies decorate delicious cookies. Little ones will be provided with a wintery apron – we know how messy they can get! – before they get stuck in to using icing, sprinkles and decorations to create wonderful winter cookies.

At the end of the session, everyone will be invited to sit down with our pixies and listen to a story whilst tucking into their cookie creations. Let’s hope there’s some left for mum and dad!

5.       Enchanted Willow Weaving

For families with children aged eight and over, Enchanted Willow Weaving is a wonderful tranquil and creative activity that you can all enjoy together.

Inspired by The Winter Forest Lights story, you will create a beautifully illuminated willow ornament to display at home. Our experts will teach you how to shape the delicate bendy, willow fronds into a structure before you decorate your willow ornament and adorn it with twinkling fairy lights. You can then display it in your Center Parcs lodge during your break and then hang it up in your home for your friends and family to admire.

Join our storytellers in the enchanted Tipi (in The Wishlight Village) and go on an adventure with Luminessa, Beacon and Glowbud & Gleam as they light up the winter forest.
