Swim under the stars at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise

Body Content

Have you ever wanted to swim under the moonlight while watching the stars twinkle? Our evening turn up and swim sessions at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise are the perfect opportunity for this to become a reality. Find out about the rides, slides and splash-tastic experiences, opening times and our swim bag essentials to help you make the most out of your Subtropical Swimming Paradise experience.

Rides and slides

Slip and slide down a selection of exhilarating rides in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Little ones can splash about in the children’s water play areas, our specially designed water play areas are full of spray fountains, slides and a splashing pool. Older children will be thrilled by the Wild Water Rapids - a firm family favourite that will have you wanting to go down again and again. Gaze up at the stars as you navigate the twists and turns of the Rapids or spend some ‘me time’ in the outdoor pool relaxing under the twilight sky. If adrenaline-filled activities are more your speed, try our gravity-defying Tropical Cyclone, with twists, turns and drops guaranteed to get your heart racing. Whatever your preferences, there’s something for the whole family at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise.

Opening times

Alongside the bookable daytime swim sessions, we’re also running a ‘turn up and swim’ session in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise from 6pm-9pm. There’s no need to book - just turn up and swim under the stars. Enjoy the thrilling rides and slides - open until 7pm - or take a relaxing outdoor dip and watch the steam rise from the moonlit water. Don’t forget to book your daytime 3-hour swim session too! With our water park heated to 29.5C all year round, you’ll be transported to tropical climes – the perfect escape from the unreliable UK weather. The evening turn up and swim session are in addition to your 3-hour pre-booked sessions. Our bookable swimming sessions help you make the most out of your Subtropical Swimming Paradise experience, with shorter queues for rides and slides and less crowded children’s water play areas and changing rooms.

What to bring

If you forget anything then don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Take a look in Aquatique, where you can purchase everything from child and adult swimming costumes to pool floats and accessories – we’ll have you kitted out in no time! When you’re packing your swimming bag, we recommend bringing:

  • Towels. If you don’t have enough room in the bag, you can hire them at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. You can also pick up buoyancy aids for little ones as well.
  • Swimming costumes/trunks
  • Your lodge wristband
  • Drinks and snacks for your little ones (or yourself!). Pick your favourites up from Parc Market.

You’ll be hungry after your swim session, so refuel by heading to one of our on-village restaurants or order a delivery to your lodge. With a range of cuisines and options available, there’s sure to be something for the whole family.
