Why visit Center Parcs during May?

Body Content

May is a wonderful time of year for family adventures in the forest. See wildlife around every corner, enjoy outdoor activities, relax in the warmer weather - and make the most of the bank holidays! Here’s why your family will love to escape on a short break this May.

The spring season

Spring is the season of bunnies and bluebells, daffodils and ducklings. When the sun comes out and the sky turns blue, what’s not to love?

Our villages are home to plenty of wildlife and May is a great time to spot them. Look under rocks for creepy crawlies, look up in the trees for birds, see friendly squirrels playing and maybe even meet a deer on your lodge patio!

Barbecues and picnics

Warmer days and lighter nights call for yummy picnics and tasty barbecues for the whole family to enjoy together. Find a lovely spot in the forest to place your picnic blanket and tuck into treats from the ParcMarket - family time at its best. After an action-packed day, get a disposable barbecue and cook up a feast on your private patio, play games and watch the sun set. Bliss!

We have various delicious snacks and food available at ParcMarket to create a family feast, or order a delivery from our restaurants and eat alfresco on your patio table. Fancy a meal out? Tempt your tastebuds with cuisines from around the world at our range of restaurants.

Beach days

Ready to hit the beach? That’s right, our villages have their very own sandy beaches on the shore of the lake. Build sandcastles, eat ice cream, watch the boats sail by or simply soak up the sunshine, together as a family. Put the passports away – you can enjoy all this and much more on a Center Parcs break in the UK and Ireland.

Outdoor activities

With up to 200 indoor and outdoor activities, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained for hours. Late spring and early summer is a great time to head outside and relax on an Electric Boat, discover the village by cycle or Segway or test your head for heights on Aerial Adventure.

There’s plenty for little ones too. They can get behind the wheel on Off Road Explorers, get up close to nature with Baby Owls, explore our adventure playgrounds and much more!

Our Subtropical Swimming Paradise

Our tropical water park, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, is heated to 29.5c and sure to be a hit with the whole family all year round. The brighter weather in May is the perfect time to enjoy our outdoor pools. Soak in the bubbles, relax on sun loungers and enjoy the lush plants and trees – you’ll be transported to tropical climes without setting foot on a plane!

With rides and slides, wave pool and whirlpools, you can make special family memories in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Little ones can explore water play areas with spray fountains and small slides and flumes – perfect for water babies and even those who are dipping their toes in the water for the very first time.

Have fun adventures, come rain or shine

As we know, in the UK and Ireland there’s always a chance that spring showers might make an appearance. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered (literally) with no end of fun indoor activities.

Get active with our indoor sports including Badminton and Fencing, or let the little ones go off on their very own unaccompanied adventures such as Chocolate Chefs Academy or Super Spy Academy – the perfect time for grown-ups to spend some quality time together at our Aqua Sana Spa.
