Our Winter Wonderland photo opportunities
We want you to be able to capture magical moments with the family whilst on a Winter Wonderland break. Our villages have lots of special photo opportunities, ranging from selfie frames to large group backdrops to allow you to capture that perfect (or not-so-perfect) family photo.
Whether everybody is looking at the camera or not, we know how hard it is to get everyone together to enjoy precious family time and we believe them moments should be captured. Don’t worry about deciding who will take the photo, a lot of our photo opportunities have selfie phone box holders – perfect for setting up a group selfie!

Large family photo opportunities
Struggle to get everybody in a picture together? Find our giant elf and squirrel photo opportunities which are great for large groups. Silly poses are so much fun – our elves agree too!

Selfie frames
Frame your family moment with our free-standing selfie frames. Crop your photo around the frame for a perfect finish. Top tip – remember to flip your photo so the ‘Winter Wonderland’ text reads the right way.

Magical sculptures
During Winter Wonderland our villages are filled with twinkling sculptures and have been spotted in lots of guests’ photos already. From giant baubles arches to Giant Christmas Trees, which change colour and have a festive soundtrack for you to dance to – which will be your favourite? New to 2022 and exclusive to Whinfell Forest is our giant toadstool. Get the whole family to stand under the sculpture and remember to 'say cheese!'.

Other festive photo opportunities
If you are visiting Whinfell Forest, make sure to take a stroll around the lake to find our twinkling benches. Visit year on year? Take a picture each time you visit and watch your family grow.
Why not use our family-favourite singing reindeer as a backdrop to your photo - capture the little ones' faces as they stand in awe at the reindeer singing and dancing.
Little ones sending a letter to Santa? Get your cameras ready and capture the moment they pop their letter in.
